Napoli
are looking at bolstering their squad with three players in the January
transfer window, according to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis. The Parteneopei brought in a host of fresh faces in the summer under new coach Rafa Benitez, including Gonzalo Higuain, Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens, Raul Albiol and goalkeeper Rafael.
With money still in the bank following Edinson Cavani's €64 million move from the Stadio San Paolo to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the new season, the Napoli chief has insisted that a trio of players could be arriving in the winter.
"We have a centre-back, a full-back and a midfielder on our list if we can find them," De Laurentiis told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"I have put my money to one side for these signings who we have already outlined. There are situations that could help us improve the squad."
Napoli currently sit second in Serie A after a strong opening eight matches and, ahead of the team's clash with Torino on Sunday, De Laurentiis lauded the coach for his efforts with the players since replacing Walter Mazzarri.
"I won the lottery with Benitez," he said. "He is managing the squad in the best way possible."
